Harvesting Water Lilies

Every year during the cooler months, the water bodies in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam come alive with the vibrant water lilies. Pictured here is a local woman collecting water lilies near Chau Doc town in An Giang province. She was kind enough to offer me a ride as she went about her business. From my vantage point, I could see how the lily stalks formed leading lines culminating at the tip of the woman's conical hat.
